Walking Towards Boon Lay Garden Primary School, after alighting from the bus 187.
More Photos of Boon Lay Garden Primary School
RULES, RULES, and OBEY RULES
I wondered, ‘Do we need to seek the permission of Boon Lay Town Council or do we need to seek the permission of Founder of Singapore, Head of Singapore, PM or President to take a picture of our own country. Is it a crime to take a photograph? Tourist who comes to Singapore, tourist who go other countries, all tourists like to take photographs — for remembrance, for souvenir… What then is so special about A SCHOOL that has FEAR of people taking photographs, FEAR of a little woman ‘admiring’ the beauty of the school?
My Position: Parent — A mother bringing her daughter to look at the school
Purpose: Get a Transfer Form for my daughter
Objective: Tour The School : really want to see the school If I want my child to be transferred to this school, I also need to see the school…. I stated very clearly at the security office, to the security guard — two of them: one lady and one man, both Indians.
I record my name, NRIC, and contact number, and Time in their record book. I can ‘anyhow write’ since they did not ask for my NRIC either. BUT I did not. I do not need to do that.
At Boon Lay Secondary School, they RETAIN my NRIC, in exchange for a vistor pass… I don’t have to fill in everything… whereas: Security Guard here, got smile, the face not ‘breaking’, the face of the security guard at Boon Lay Secondary School, “NO SMILE”, similarly, QiHua Primary School…. So this one, good, I am ‘happy’ to talk to them. And if they want better security, can always asked to check our NRIC, and return to us (RESPECT visitors).
NO directions to go general office.
Enchanted by the beauty of the school.
My mind was refreshed, what a wonderful colour combination…a garden paradise
Clara’s first response after walking to the spiral staircase, seeing the waterfalls (I HAVE NOT even have time to look at the waterfalls, what plants, what fish, whatever creatures in it, I DO NOT EVEN KNOW)… Clara said,”Wow, this school so nice, I want to come to this school!”
Such a lovely place and a conducive place for learning
Feeling of…..Liberation…..Freedom
Wow, AMAZED, ENCHANTED, my heart OPENED, fully opened and filled with BLISS…. I just followed ‘my own navigation’… turning left… (for that was where the plants where…). Looking at the beautiful works, I walked into the canteen…. those chinese calligraphy was so nice, but I do not know how to read most of the words.
A Cleaner ’speak better’ than the OPERATION MANAGER
A Malay woman came to me, and must be wondering Who Am I. I told her I taught here before. I asked her, “Are you a teacher?” She said,”No, clean the classrooms.” She asked,”Are you Singaporean?” I said,”Yes.” Then she told me it was raining and asked me not to walk (don’t know exactly what she meant)… but pointed about the yellow light, the warning about thunder…
WHO WOULD BE STUCK DOWN BY LIGHTNING
Yes, it was raining. I came all the way. Have I for fear of RAIN when it is MY FATHER who sent me here…. WOULD I be struck by thunder? My mission is not complete yet, why should MY FATHER called for me?
Thrill or folly you want
And so, I decide to take a video of the place, just in case… Last night, just uploaded and got a comment, saying it is so boring…. it doesn’t matter. The fact is all this is done and written ‘unedited’, no bullshit, the truth of REAL LIFE, not TV DRAMA, which would make LIFE seems WONDERFUL, makes life seems Perfect at times….. say all you like, say all you want…. Heaven knows.
