Farewell Dr Goh Keng Swee
At the Parliament House, I was really amazed to see the guards (those standing around the coffin/casket). I do not know if they are really called guards, but I would call them guards since they are guarding the casket. These guards were really amazing and worth saluting — imagine having to stand motionless for such a long period of time… they cannot scratch themselves when there is any itch and they have to stay alert like and yet at the same time, they are like ‘dead bodies’ guarding the casket. I was so amazed at this guy (guard) when I first placed my vision on him…
Below is another photograph of Dr Goh Keng Swee found at Obituary Goh Keng Swee
I am very thankful for the person who had uploaded this photograph. This is just what I had ‘wished to see’ — the picture of the Last Supper and the angels at the side of the coffin.
I must have acted funny on that day. I did not ‘do’ as what I saw other people did on the TV show as well as this one shown below. These family came to pay their respects to Dr Goh, and they bowed their heads…
I did not bow my head. I looked at his face, grayish and was suddenly attracted by the ‘golden angels‘ at the side of the coffin…

I did not cry over the death of Dr Goh Keng Swee. I saw Lee Hsien Loong cried in the TV. Just like what I had mentioned about the ‘attachment theory‘ (New Hamsters, Hamster Slaves), I did not feel much for a person who I don’t really know at all. Richard did not want to come also. On the contrary, I was filled with joy on this day, 20th May 2010…
I think I did not even look like people who had come to ‘pay respect’ to Dr Goh Keng Swee. I did not shed a single tear. However, on the day of State Funeral, my eyes were filled with tears! I was so touched and my eyes were so ‘automatically’ filled with tears as I listened to the bagpipes (Amazing Grace).
Bagpipes (Amazing Grace) being played at Dr Goh Keng Swee’s State Funeral
It was once again, the song of Amazing Grace that touched me… It is God’s love for us, God’s love for me that I had experienced. The grace of God is indeed amazing. The Power of God is even Greater. The power of God is so great that he had conquered death…

[...] Farewell Dr Goh Keng Swee No matter how much money or wealth you have in this world, you are going to leave this world empty handed. You cannot bring your valuables with you along in the coffin. No matter how big is your house, you are going to lie in the coffin, not able to do anything anymore. You cannot do anything at all… not even wear your last piece of clothing yourself… [...]
