Food Court Workers
How well-trained are our food court workers? This is what I wonder… Are they ‘acting blur’ or are they really ‘ignorant’ or are they really ignorant?
Upon discovery of the insects in the soup (as shown in the photograph below), I approached the stallholder. The Malay stallholder/worker told me that they were peppers!!!! I told her to see carefully! She asked another Chinese worker from the inner room. This woman talked to me in Chinese. She told me that it might be the worms from the vegetables (broccoli in this case).
I told her that I cook in the kitchen for how many years and I don’t know how to tell vegetable worms or insects? She wanted to bring the bowl of soup to the ‘inner room’ (behind their counter), but I refused — I don’t trust them at all…
Later, she told me that she needs to bring it to the office which is ‘behind’. I waited.
It was quite some time. She returned, wanted me to give her my receipt so that she could give me money back. Again, she said that it is pepper and even give me a packet of pepper to see….
