Fu Shan Garden
This is a garden at/near my house. It is such a beautiful garden but it is also a deadly garden. Many elderly people come in the morning for exercise and many children come here to play in the playground also. Others come here for jogging, play ball games like badminton, basketballs and even cycling. There are just so many activities which residents can enjoy here.
However, I had seen another deadly dengue hotspot recently. The water in the hole was blackish, stagnant for so many days. I had LOST all my previous photographs….. Today, I PURPOSELY went to Fu Shan Garden, JUST to check this DEADLY HOTSPOT, and IT REMAINS THE SAME. Nothing has been done and I wonder WHO would ever notice or even KNOW of its EXISTENCE….
WHY do I go there despite my BUSY schedule? I was PROVOKED. My blood is boiling! NEA STAFF came calling at the door. People so busy in the kitchen and looking after Isaac. And this woman, came at the door, asking to come in JUST TO CHECK our house… Holding a torch light, shine here and there in the kitchen toilet. Go service balcony in the kitchen and ‘give advice‘…. This is crazy — as though I don’t know how to manage my house, as though I would BREED mosquitoes to HARM MY OWN CHILDREN isn’t? But these are all my thoughts. I am not so rude and not so without understanding that this is her job. I just remain silent and observe her ‘duties’. After she had finished ‘checking’ my kitchen, she proceeds to my masterbedroom toilet….. This is really CRAZY…. despite all the water, what can she do…….. she came out of the toilet, and ‘give advice’ (mumbling) — who knows what she is talking… and I am not interested to explain or talk to her. She got no AUTHORITY at all…… She is mainly covering and doing her job. Who is the one who implement this policy?

Tell me, what are these people doing? I, Singapore Citizen (人民), a HOUSEWIFE, a BUSY HOUSEWIFE, with no JOB, and this is my “HOBBY”… Imagine, NEA, are you LOOKING AFTER YOUR ENVIRONMENT in the first place? When you DID NOT even “LOOK AFTER” your environment WELL, you want to CARE about what is HAPPENING IN PEOPLE’s HOUSE!!!! First of all, LOOK AT THE ENVIRONMENT AT LARGE FIRST before you COME INSIDE OUR HOUSE and FINE PEOPLE, BLAME PEOPLE!!!!! (I am not fine okay, and you think I would allow my house to breed mosquitoes? But PEOPLE are fine and people got hospitalized because of Dengue fever!)
Look at the photographs of Fu Shan Garden as shown above. Look at the beautiful flowers. Butterflies visit the flowers, and the sun shines. But look at the pool of water in the cavity and cavities (some filled with cement, some with plants growth). Look at the dinosaur, the Archaeopteryx, it is being Vandalized even! How is this possible? Is Singapore suppose to be an EDUCATED NATION, a civilized nation and it is said to be a Courteous nation with ‘COURTEOUS’ SINGAPOREAN that abides the laws of Singapore…. law-abiding citizens?
A Stagnant pool of water at Fu Shan Garden: A puddle of water about the size and depth of a 20 cent coin is sufficent for Aedes Mosquitoes to breed in….. look at this pool of water (the size and its depth) at Fu Shan Garden.
Look at more deadly hotspots for mosquitoes and insects breeding grounds!
Note that these are not the only POTENTIAL breeding PLACES…
TO PEOPLE WITH AUTHORITY AND POWER,
Please DO SOMETHING about this. WE, the Citizens of Singapore, we are only the COMMON people, we have NO POWER, no authority, but are UNDER your CONTROL…. please help to save our environment…. we do not want to GET FINE and GET SICK for NO GOOD REASONS. THANK YOU SO MUCH…
