QiHua General Office
This is such an important place of the school. After passing the security guards, the next place you have to go is this one here, the school’s General Office.
At the General Office, you can see staff working… There is a counter where staff would come to assist you when you step into the office. There is a bell also for you to press to ‘call for the staff’.
In this school, you can find the office staff as well as the principal and vice-principal in the General Office. The principal and vice-principal have their own rooms inside the General Office. There are various tables in the General Office for the staff to work. I do not know if there is any specific staff who are in charge of the ‘frontline’ (as in reception) — everytime I go to the school, I have to ask whoever are present and available to assist me. I do not know their roles and have no idea at all who is in charge of handling the reception (the bell counter). I always see different staff and talk to different staff…
QiHua Primary School’s General Office
Yesterday, even though the supplementary class was CANCELLED (because teacher was on MC), I was NOT INFORMED at all. Some students and Clara went to school. Some students might be informed, I do not know. But I am obviously NOT INFORMED. This is very BAD. Communication is SO POOR.
Whose Responsibility is it to inform the Parents? Or do you find a NEED for such a COMMUNICATION in the first place, QiHua Primary School?
The teacher is on MC. Obviously, it cannot be the teacher’s job to inform the Parents. However, depending on the school management — the way they operate ‘business’ and the way they coordinate (their logistics)… If the teacher did not give the school the consent form, then the school cannot call up the parents. If the consent form is with the teacher, then the teacher HAVE TO call up the parents to inform the parents about it. BUT IT WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. But can you believe that A SCHOOL do not have phone numbers of the child’s parents? This is definitely unlikely and hilarious. It is not an EXCUSE at all. In any case, there is really NO REASON for the school not to INFORM the parents at all about the supplementary class being cancelled. This is simply no sense of RESPONSIBILITY. Does anyone CARE for the well-being of the child and the family indirectly in this sense?
