The Carpenters – Top Of The World
This was my inspirational song last year when I had the strange encounter with God and Jesus. The photograph was taken exactly on 1st April 2008, and I posted the song Top of The World that day. It was really a touching moment.
Yesterday, I was touched yet again. Writing about what I read and what I saw, I was moved to tears again just now while I was cooking. My eyes were filled with tears, all blur and could not see the potatoes clearly. I was not sad, but touched by all that had happened — touched by the love of God.
This song kept repeating in my heart when I was in the kitchen preparing for dinner. This song was sung when I was in Primary school, Yung An Primary School. Our class went to the stage to sing this song. We had to memorize this song by heart then. It was never my favourite song. However, on 1st April 2008, this was the song which just came automatically in my heart and all the words in the lyrics was so meaningful.

Yes, things are never the same as before. Everyday is like another normal day in the past, but now, everyday is another new day of discovery…
Yesterday, coming back from C.H Koh Clinic, I was very glad by the words he said. Though the journey back was still dreadful, with so many people at the MRT Station (peak hours), it was okay — because I had the Daily Bread with me.
Coming out of the train at Woodlands MRT Station, I saw the beautiful sky in front of me. Never had I admired such a beautiful sight in Singapore — which is a ‘all-building’ or ‘all HDB’ area. The real scenery was nicer than what my camera had captured. My children and I stood still at the MRT Station and we talked about the beauty of the sky, something which we had never seen before…
Blessed Singapura
Though Singapore is a small city, just a small dot on the world map, with nothing much to see — people all migrate, people always look outwards to the bigger nation, but here is a really our homeland, a place where we get to be born and grown up here, with all our family and friends here. If you have a happy heart, whenever you go, wherever you go, you can find happiness and beauty.
